Student Enrolment Declaration

  1. I hereby accept a place in the above-named course offered by Wentworth Institute of Higher Education (WIN).
  2. I have read and understood the refund Policy below:
    • The Application fee and accommodation placement fee are non-refundable.
    • In the event of a student’s visa application being rejected and the official evidence being provided to WIN, WIN will provide a refund within 4 weeks.
    • If the course has not commenced, all tuition fees paid will be refunded.
    • If the course has commenced, a refund will be made on a pro-rata basis.
  3. In the event of a student withdrawing from a course, a Withdrawal form and an application for refund form must be made in writing to WIN.
    • If the notice is received by WIN at least 28 days before the course starts, a refund of 80% of tuition fees will be made. (20% of first instalment of total tuition fees will be deducted)
    • If the notice is received by WIN prior to, but less than 28 days before the course starts, a refund of 50% of tuition fees will be made. (50% of first instalment of total tuition fees will be deducted)
    • If the notice is received by WIN on or after the course starts, no refund will be made. If an exceptional circumstance exists, a refund will be given on a case-by-case basis.
    • No refund will be granted to a student whose enrolment is terminated for failure to comply with WIN’s policies and procedures and Student visa requirements.
  4. Students enrolling into a “package” course which involves an English course followed by a High School / Vocational College/ Higher Education course, are deemed to have two start dates and two enrolment fees. No refund will be granted on the second course after commencement of the first course in the event of cancellation or withdrawal.
    • In the event of WIN defaulting, the total tuition fee will be refunded to students within 2 weeks.
    • Alternatively, if WIN defaults, the school may offer an alternative (replacement) course or part of a course. The student must advise in writing within fourteen days whether he or she accepts the alternative arrangement.
    • The WIN dispute resolution processes do not circumscribe a student’s right to pursue other legal remedies.
  5. The fees refund policy does not remove students’ rights to take further action under the Australian Consumer Protection laws.
  6. I understand the cost of my stay in Australia is my responsibility.
  7. I understand I can’t smoke, drink alcohol or take drugs inside the college premises.
  8. I understand WIN may cancel the course for operational reasons.
  9. I understand once I start my course, I cannot defer my course.
  10. On my arrival I will meet my administration officer to finalize my enrolment. It is my responsibility to ensure I am correctly enrolled.
  11. I hereby undertake to abide by the by-laws and the rules documented in the student handbook.
  12. I will abide by the WIN Acceptable Use of IT Policy and acknowledge misuse of WIN ICT resources may result in disciplinary actions and financial penalties.
